Mario Domains confirmed
Posted by Jed Cross
Nintendo has registerd 100Marios and Mariosunshine all with the “.com, .net and .org” extensions. For those of you not knowing what a domain is, it’s an internet address such as GameQubed.com. Before the announcement of the “Dolphin’s” name(which is now GameCube), someone already had registerd the domain gamecube.com. We suggest that you don’t visit it.

Capcom’s Fiscal Year Plans
Posted by Jed Cross
Capcom has released the ammount of games and how many units of the games will ship within this fiscal year. The current fiscal year started in April 2001 and will end in March 2002. Here is the list:
- PS2: 13 games, 6.9 million units
- PSX: 10 games, 700,000 units
- DC: 11 games, 250,000 units
- GCN/N64: 2 games, 800,000 units
- GBA/GB: 12 games, 2.4 million units
- Xbox: 5 games, 650,000 units
- PC & Others: 19 games, 500,000 units
Although, not many titles are planned for the GameCube and Nintendo 64 combined, they are probably some game that Capcom isn’t known for. As some of you may know, Capcom is known for it’s huge line of Street Fighter games. By taking a look at the PS2, PSX and DC, the chances of another street fighter game for the console is high. And several of them have already been released on the PSX and a few on the DC. XBOX has a slight chance with having a Street Fighter game, but the chance is there. Two of those Gameboy games are remakes of Classic Street fighter games. These games will hit the GameBoy Advance. Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter 2 turbo. These are added to the current collection of 2 Street Fighter games on all current gameboy handhelds(I"m sure there are only 2) and these two games are Street Fighter alpha and Street Fighter 2: the world warrior. Street Fighter alpha 2 was released for a Nintendo console too, back during it’s release, it came out for the Sega Saturn and Playstation, but Nintendo had it published on the Super Nes rather than the Nintendo 64.

GameCube Retail Price
Posted by Jed Cross
It’s been confirmed that the US price for GameCube at launch is $199.95. Software will be in the $49.95 range. Some Canadians(like me) have probably been wondering what the Canadian retail price will be in Canadian dollars. A good guess would be $249.95 for the GameCube(Canadian dollars) but, Nintendo of Canada has confirmed that it will be $299.99 at launch with software retailing around $69.99. Now, I’m expecting Nintendo GameCube to launch on the 7th of November in Canada, 2 days after the United states launch, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Lots of new content
Posted by Jed Cross
Yes, there is new content from yours truly(I’m speaking of myself, hopefully you knew that). I have added the games list http://gamequbed.com/gamelists/gamecube/ Which can also be found by clicking here
I have also written 2 previews. Luigi’s haunted mansion and Super smash Bros. 2(which is called super smash bros. melee) which are added to the Previews list.
Speaking of Super Smash Bros. 2, there is a sports game(I think Madden 2002) that will support 8 players directly from one room(no online needed) so there will be a multitap for GCN. So Super Smash Bros. 2 could be up to 8 players at home. Nintendo also confirmed that the game will support up to 64 players, how might this be? I’m betting online with Seganet, as Seganet will be used for Phantasy star Online ver. 2.
