Rayman Advance Review #2
This is probably one of the most graphical intense games that you will come across on the GBA. Well, for now. You play as the limbless hero that everyone loves. That hero is Rayman. The gameplay hasn’t really changed since the Playstation version, which came out in 1996. The only thing that has remotely been changed is the difficulty, which has been tweaked slightly to make it easier.
You have to make your way through 60 levels, gathering Electoons along the way. Confused? Ok, there is a Protoon that keeps the world at a state of peace. However, Mr. Dark, the evil villan behind it all, stole the Protoon and scattered the Electoons throughout 6 worlds with 10 levels inside each. Betilla, the magical fairy who teaches you new abilities along the way, tried to stop him, but she was too weak. So its up to you to find and collect all of the Electoons to get the Protoon back and battle Mr. Dark. Are you up to it?
The music isn’t too shabby, although it isn’t anything new or different. It matches the level that you are playing, and thats pretty much all you can ask. It would have been nice to have music as good as the PSX version, but there’s only so much you can ask from a portable gaming system.
