Super Dodge Ball Advance Review
Super Dodge Ball Advance is a remake of the classic version on the NES, Super Dodge Ball. It was released in the late 1980s (1989, I think). It was released by Technos back then, but this time the game is by Atlus. They kept the same concept, except for a few minor changes here and there. There are now 2 extra players on each team, a whole lot more super throws, the ability to change your teams formation, and a whole lot more.
The team setup is simple. 4 players are in the square, and the other 3 are on the other side, standing right outside of the line. Each side must throw the ball at the opposite team to inflict damage. You keep doing this until the players “die”. You lose if all of your players inside the square die.
Your methods of defense are jumping, dodging, or catching the ball. Your weapons against your opponants are called Super Throws. There are about 50 in all, and each character has 2 of his own. One is performed on the ground, while the other is performed in air.
That may seem like enough to get the game right there, but there is also a VS mode to link with a friend. This is one of the best parts of the game. Period. SDB is available in stores now, so get yours while you still can!
